Most of my work is with individual clients, and primarily I work with people who have difficulties such as anxiety and depression. I have a lot of experience working with individuals with trauma (military/veteran and sexual trauma). During my time in the VA and the military I have helped many find peace despite traumatic experiences, learning to put those events in their proper place in their lives. However, I have experience working with people with rarer concerns, such as bipolar disorder and dissociative identity disorder as well. With all my clients, we talk about their values and how they influence their functioning, concerns, and strengths.

I have often worked with couples, starting with working on a couples' therapy project in graduate school to validate a new form of couples' therapy. I also have sought out training in other forms of couples' therapy to better serve my clients with particular needs. I have worked with both individuals and couples on sexual health concerns while respecting their values in this area. I have also worked with children and families, with a particular focus on improving the familial relationships.

In addition to working as a therapist with clients themselves, I also have experience and am currently seeking supervision clients who are interested in furthering their development in their craft. I am also available to do seminars or talks at churches and other community groups on many topics, including presentations on topics including, but not limited to: Marriage Enrichment, Sexual Concerns, Family Issues, Church Responses to Mental Illness, Psychotherapy, and Mental Illness.
